We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.
Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t
Card:
Ace of Wands
Affirmation:
I am inspired.
Reflection:
Inspiration is something we all seek.
The Ace of Wands is symbolic of fresh creative energy and being inspired. To be inspired is to be driven to create or perform. When we are inspired, we are moved to get shit done. When we are inspired, we are aroused to the point of needing an outlet of release. An experience, an idea, a person, a sound, or a visual can inspire us. And although we all seek inspiration, what inspires us and how we are inspired can differ from person to person. With that in mind, it’s important that we find our own unique rhythm and flow of inspiration versus simply duplicating what works for others. This rhythm and flow is found by taking the time to observe what people, places, and things replenish or fill our creative and spiritual energy tank versus depleting it. Once we have identified the sources that add to our creative and spiritual energy tank, we should love and support those people, go to those places, and do those things. At the same time, we must remember that inspiration can be found almost everywhere. Inspiration can be found in the good and the not-so-good. Inspiration can be found in the extraordinary and the ordinary.
Without a doubt, there are times in life when we are more inspired than others. To be completely honest, there are times in life when we are completely uninspired. However, it is very important that when we are uninspired that we remember and hold on to the fact that inspiration is never lost for good. Life is full of inspiration. We must prioritize gathering tools that help us identify inspiration in whatever kind of situation we may find ourselves in. We will always enter certain seasons and phases of our lives where we need fresh creative energy or inspiration in order to propel us forward. We must be open to fresh creative energy or inspiration coming to us as both outside sources and deeply within self. The key is not putting a limitation on where inspiration comes from; Allow it to come from anywhere, anything, and anybody.
Application:
Ruminate, answer the following questions, and execute.
Who are the people in my life who fuel me to do the things that I need to do?
What activities motivate me to be the best version of myself?
What places bring me peace?
What strategies can I or do I use to inspire myself? If I don’t have any, what tools do I need to make sure I can inspire myself when need be?
