We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.
Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t.
Card:
Judgement
Affirmation:
I listen to the higher me.
Reflection:
When we listen to our higher self, we listen to God.
The Judgement card can be symbolic of our higher self and vulnerability. Our higher self speaks to our conscious and subconscious awareness of what is right. It is that voice in us that chooses love and peace and goodness and grace and mercy. It resides in each of us despite the fact that we don’t always listen to it. Generally speaking, we’ve all made a left when we knew to make a right (in other words, not listened to or ignored our higher self); Often the outcome is a temporary loss of peace. We should all strive to get to a point where we are so connected to our higher self that it is extremely difficult to ignore it. We get to that point when we fully grasp the various roles of the higher self. One role is to guide us into making judgements and decisions that are rooted in love and wisdom. Another role is to shield us from pain and danger as much as possible. When we embrace these truths and adhere to the higher self, life becomes less complex and much more simple.
Connecting and staying tethered to the higher self requires a deep inner vulnerability. A large number of people immediately think of vulnerability in relation to intimacy with others. However, we need to explore and practice self-vulnerability more than with anyone else. One way in which we are vulnerable with ourselves is when we are honest with ourselves. Think about it. It is sometimes so hurtful and requires so much to be truthful with the reflection we see in the mirror. Fortunately, and as with most things in life, we can learn how to face our truths. We lie because we want to avoid conflict. We lie because we are afraid. So we must learn how to deal with conflict so that we don’t run from it. We must learn how to face our fears so that we can live in freedom versus bondage. And most importantly, we must learn how to listen and trust the higher self over everything.
Application:
Choose what you know is right. Choose what you know is good. And when you are not sure, make the best decision then rest well because you know you did what you thought was best.
