We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.
Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t.
Some Sundays, I will step away from my standard affirmation/reflection/application format and just go with whatever flow I’m feeling. We’ll refer to said notes as Wilde Cards ;)
Card: The High Priestess
Mastering listening to our intuition is one of the most powerful tools we can possess. Though our intuition is naturally a part of us, different factors and events often take place in life that weakens our connection and leads to distrust and rejection of our intuition. The good news is that no matter how weak we may find our intuitive knowing, the connection is never so poor that it is beyond repair or restoration. As with most things in life, the willingness and desire to repair and restore must be present. Sometimes, we just have to reacquaint ourselves with the concept and the act of listening to and trusting our intuition. We have to figure out if our intuition speaks to us in a faint voice that we must get quiet in order to hear or if it speaks to us with a strong, powerful voice that we conditioned ourselves to ignore. Regardless, we must prioritize the action of leaning into our intuitive knowing versus running away from it.
A huge part of listening to our intuition is tied to being able to trust self. Ultimately, when we follow our intuition we are trusting something inside of us that is often inexplicable. If ever we find ourselves at certain times not being able to trust ourselves, it is very important that we find out the problem because it causes a breakdown in our ability to communicate with our intuitive self. Our ability to properly and effectively communicate with our intuitive self places us in a position to reflect the spiritual wisdom that lies inside of each of us. Ultimately, our intuition is a spiritual guardian of sorts. It is triggered when we find ourselves in situations or predicaments that require a deeper understanding than conscious reasoning provides. It seeks to protect us from what is registered as hurt, danger, defeat, etc. Tapping into our intuitive knowing provides us with the answers we need that are always within - always within.
