Wilde Card: On Stability

We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.

Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t.

Some Sundays, I step away from my standard affirmation/reflection/application format and just go with whatever flow I’m feeling. We refer to said notes as Wilde Cards ;)

Card: Four of Wands

When I think about having stability in my life, I feel like I can rest because I know no matter what happens something or someone has my back.

Stability provides us a security that allows us to get comfortable. Stability gives us peace that positively contributes to our well-being.  When something is stable we can be sure of it and depend on it. We can trust and rest in the knowing that it will be there. We can trust and rest in the knowing that we are safe. We can trust and rest in the knowing that we have support. It is important to remember that situations have the ability to look stable when in reality they are not. So it is always our job to make sure that things are what they appear to be. Then it must become a priority in our life to nurture and upkeep the people and things in our lives that do provide us stability. Consequently, when we do not nurture and upkeep those people and things, we open ourselves up to lose that stability.

With time, a thing or situation that has the capacity to be stable also has the capacity to be unstable. As a result, we always have the option to leave or walk away if and when the status of a situation moves from stable to unstable. Nevertheless, if stability is about the ability to endure then we must prepare and be willing to do our part to make certain that takes place. We must learn how to give situations what they need in order to remain stable. Sometimes we easily find ourselves in a stable situation and at other times we have to build the stability that we desire. Either way, we become responsible for ensuring that stability is maintained. Nourish the things in life that bring stability and change the things in life that do not.
