“i am nothing on my own but everything because of god.”

-Kaila Wilde

"When something is important to us we..."

We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.

Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t.

Card:

The High Priest

Affirmations:

Rituals keep me connected.

Spiritual wisdom is within me.

Reflection:

The High Priest is representative of spiritual rituals and spiritual wisdom. It is a reminder for us to create intentional time with God in a manner that deepens the connection we all have inside of us. Our spiritual rituals keep us connected to our spiritual beliefs, and our spiritual beliefs ground us in and root us to what is important in life. When something is important to us we make time for it and we spend time with it. These actions must be practiced with our spirituality because when they are not it becomes much harder to focus on the things in life that should be priority. Rituals require us to deliberately and intentionally commit time to our spiritual life which is so often the foundation of peace and joy for many us. So by maintaining spiritual practices and creating rituals, we give honor to the source of our everything in the most reverent way possible. Additionally, we are constantly reminded of our purpose and our faith through our practices and rituals. Life sometimes throws us off track but rituals ensure that we get back on track. They push us to reflect in ways that we need to be pushed in order to be who we say we want to be.

We must never forget that we possess a spiritual wisdom that we can tap into and unlock at anytime. When we experience spiritual growth, we tap into our spiritual wisdom. Spiritual wisdom also comes from a deep desire to learn and often blossoms into the calling to teach. To teach others all of the lessons that one has learned on their spiritual journey and to be of any assistance to those on their own journey. Although we all have to establish our personal connection with God, there are many people around us who can guide us at and to certain points of our journeys. Looking to others who are reflections of spirituality helps us further tap into the spiritual wisdom we possess.

Application:

What rituals do you have in place to keep you connected? Prayer? Meditation? Yoga? Dancing? Writing? Singing? Reading? Make sure you that you have one or two things in place that you always lean into to connect. And don’t be scared to find new and different ways to connect if or when necessary.
