“i am nothing on my own but everything because of god.”

-Kaila Wilde

"A love that pushes us closer..."

We are all living life with different struggles. We are all navigating life, and though we travel our own paths, we encounter the same themes and realities under different circumstances. A tarot deck is representative of the spectrum of the human experience. Each card in tarot has a traditional meaning and each deck the creator’s interpretation of that meaning. Kaila Wilde uses her knowledge and interpretation of the tarot as a personal growth tool and to create an affirmative statement + note to keep us lifted and to remind us that we are not alone.

Each week, take what you need. Leave what you don’t.

Card:

Two of Cups

Affirmation:

I deserve divine love.

Reflection:

We desire to be heard, to be seen, and to be understood in all of our intimate relationships.

Partnerships and love are quintessential descriptors of the Two of Cups. A balanced partnership is what most of us seek. In a balanced partnership, we learn how to receive and to give or share. In a balanced partnership, the feminine and masculine aspects of each partner are given the space to be expressed. In a balanced partnership, we are heard, seen, and understood and we hear, see, and understand — or we strive like a motherfucker to do these things at the very least. Because our wants and needs are ever-changing constant honesty and reassessment also takes place in a balanced partnership. This type of bond and connection is rarely established by coincidence but rather by intent. Two individuals deliberately coming together and working together to share worlds and grow.

Love is not perfect—nothing in this physical world is, but the love represented here is the closest we can get to perfect love. We all deserve a healing love. A love that nourishes our mind and body and soul.  A love that renews us as we run the marathon that is life. We all deserve a spiritual love. A love that is a sanctuary from the world. A love that pushes us closer and deeper into God. Experiencing a love like this is life-altering, and the love is always felt regardless of the status of the partnership. Love at this level never dissipates but is only transformed from one lifetime to another.

 Application:

  • Ceaselessly work on being the best version of yourself. It sounds paradoxical at first, but the best way we could ever prepare to have the love (or sustain the love) described in this note is by working on and loving ourselves in the way we desire to be loved.

"When we find ourselves in states of confusion..."

"Knowing thyself entails..."
